Location - Learning to use the Monobloc – 110812

Following a explanation of how to set up and use the Monobloc we split into groups of 3 or 4. I was first as photographer, AJ model and Zhi assistant. We set-up in the courtyard using th grey wall as a background. AJ was standing about 1 1/2 m from the wall with the main light at camera left and the auxilary light on camera right. The first exposure was extremely overexposed. Lights using unbrella reflectors.

Slightly overexposed – caught in the headlights.

Grey Shadow on left from reflecton on metal pole.
This is serious business.

Hidden talents as a singer/dancer
Must be the HULK, there is no 'S' on that shirt
Subject leaned forward for this pose which put him too far forward to get proper exposure.
More experience needed to fully get a handle on setting up these lights. Have to get a flash metre, for sure.
